Your Hoodie Just Updated Your Facebook Status

Forget out about using the latest and greatest smartphone apps to update your Facebook status on the go. The cool kids just use their Hoodies.

Seattle designer Jennifer Darmour has a concept Hoodie jacket, called PING, that allows you to wirelessly link your Facebook account status to specific body gestures.

Your Hoodie Just Updated Your Facebook Status

How does it work? She's designed the Hoodie's motions to trigger status updates. For example, tying your waist string accepts a friend request and taking off your hood pokes a friend.

The garment will also notify you of activity. A vibration on your shoulder means you just received a new Facebook notification.

What do you think? Is the PING Hoodie impractical? Cool? Are 'social-networking garments' the future of fashion?

You can find more info on the PING Hoodie on Darmour's site Electric Foxy.

Frozen Lake Cannonball Fail [video]

What happens when a husky guy wants to do a cannoball jump into a frozen lake? Not what you might expect. Imagine the ending of Free Willy, only if the whale jumped into a frozen lake instead of the ocean. Pretty much the same thing except add a twist of panic and a mild concussion [via Break].

Hootsuite Releases Team Features

Oh Hootsuite, we can't even begin to count all the reasons why we love you. But the team tools you announced today are just amazing.

If you haven't tried Hootsuite yet, then stop reading this article and go sign up for an account now. Hootsuite allows you to add all your social media accounts (Facebook Profiles, Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, etc.) into one easy to use dashboard.

Once you add all your accounts to Hootsuite, you can then do all the normal stuff you might do like reply, post, and shorten links. But Hootsuite also allows you to post the same message to multiple accounts, schedule posts, track clicks, import RSS feeds and as of today, add additional team members to help you manage your accounts.

The best part about Hootsuite is the price... it's FREE. Even if you are just helping manage a few family members accounts you will find Hootsuite a lifesaver.

Here's a snapshot of all the new Hootsuite Team Management features:

Rejected Tiger Woods Nike Commercial [video]

Nike's brand new commercial featuring embattled golfing legend Tiger Woods has sparked a lot of controversy and commentary from the media, including Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert. The ad uses a voice-over from Wood's' now deceased father, for an effect that is polarizing and odd.

Here's an alternate cut that didn't get broadcast, with other famous fathers giving advice to Woods.

Want to save this YouTube video on to your computer? Here's a step-by-step methodshop.com tutorial on how to rip video files off YouTube.com and convert them for any iTunes compatible device like an iPod, iPhone or Apple TV.

More Cowbell - 10th Anniversary

Believe it or now, Christopher Walken's infamous "More Cowbell" skit from SNL turns 10 years-old today. The skit originally aired on April 8, 2000.

The More Cowbell skit (actual title "Behind The Music: Blue Oyster Cult") is about the recording of the song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by the Blue Öyster Cult. The skit features guest host Christopher Walken as music producer Bruce Dickinson (not to be confused with the Iron Maiden vocalist) and Will Ferrell as a fictional cowbell player by the name of Gene Frenkle.

The sketch was well received by audiences after it first aired, but it didn't immediately become a cult hit. The More Cowbell phenomenon didn't kick into full gear until it was released on DVD. It can be found on both the SNL: The Best of Will Ferrell DVD as well as SNL: The Best of Christopher Walken DVD. After the skit was released on DVD, it soon found its way onto the Internet and quickly became one of the most memorable SNL skits of all time. There's even a More Cowbell Flash Game.
