Nike+iPod Shoes in Action

If you've been wondering exactly how the iPod nano works with Nike's running shoe, check out the Nike+iPod demo video below.

Your iPod nano will actually talk to you while you're running. It lets you know exactly how far you've run and how far you have left. It will even synchronizing the beat of the music to your footsteps.

Once you get back to your computer, just dock the nano and it will give you a detailed readout of your stats during the run. Pretty high-tech stuff for a sneaker! I wonder what happens if it rains while you are running.

Before you can start using your Nike+iPod kit you will need to update iTunes to version 6.0.5 or higher. iTunes 6.0.5 allows you to sync your Nike + iPod workout data to nikeplus.com, where you can easily track your progress and set training goals.

If you need fuel for your workout motivation, there's a new Nike Sport Music area on the iTunes Music Store where you can download workout mixes, Athlete Inspiration playlists and Nike Podcasts.

For more info on the Nike+iPod, check out Apple's special Nike+iPod page.
